Galvanized Steel

Galvanized Steel goes through a process called "galvanizing". The process prevents the material from corroding. Galvenized material is coated with zinc.  Zinc does not rust.  Consequently, galvanized steel enjoys wide usage in both industrial and private sectors for applications subject to corrosion.
Chemist P. J. Malouin introduced the galvanizing process in1742. The process of coating steel with zinc after bathing it in sulfuric acid and fluxing it with ammonium chloride became popular and widely used.

Galvanized Steel is now used around the world and in every industry using steel.  Particularly so if the steel is subject to moisture or corrosion.

Galvanized steel is a low cost, long life alternative for manufacturing. It commonly outlasts normal product life.  Because the process involves dipping the product into a vat of molten zinc, every area will be protected unlike other products that are treated after they are used.
Galvanized steel is often a better choice when factors of cost, rust prevention, and longevity are considered.
